However, cat6a would do that job just as well, and it is properly certified/standardised like you said. I assumed this would be necessary to ensure the least amount of interference over 30-50metres, so that in a few years it can be upgraded to 10gbps once the other hardware gets cheaper (keystones, switches, router, etc.). even for punching down into keystones it took a lot of work, never mind for patch cables (requiring an expensive specialised kit), and pushing through conduits (which if you're doing that at all means they're already congested to begin with).
